Verrucas

Picture
A verruca is a wart on the foot which generally appears on the sole of the foot, although they can develop on the toes as well.

It can look like a small, dark puncture wound but can turn slightly grey or brown with a dark spot in the middle of the affected area.

It is very infectious, although through direct contact, so avoid touching the area as it can develop into a cluster of verrucae.

If left untreated, verrucae have the potential to get bigger and can cause pain when walking.

Treatments

There are many forms of treatments for verruca removal including:

  • chemical therapy
  • freezing
  • homeopathy
  • removal under local anaesthetic
  • Swift Verruca Treatment

We will discuss the options and recommend the best treatment suitable taking into account various factors such as lifestyle, sports and work life.
